The JTA See & Say Safety and Security App provides riders with a convenient and confidential way to report safety and security concerns directly to the police. This mobile app allows users to share photos, short videos, text descriptions, and locations of suspicious activities or individuals. Its user-friendly interface offers two simple options for contacting the police:

• The "Report an Issue" button enables users to send text or photo reports directly to the police. To ensure privacy, the app automatically disables the camera flash when taking photos. Users can select specific locations and report categories to assist the police in their response. Additionally, riders have the option to submit reports anonymously.
• The "Call 911" button allows users to connect directly with emergency services.

This application is designed to operate reliably even in areas with weak cellular or Wi-Fi signals. If a report is submitted without connectivity, it will be stored and sent once connectivity is restored. Additionally, the system prioritizes sending text descriptions before photos to provide police with important information as quickly as possible.

Additional features include:

• BOLO (Be on the Lookout) Alerts: The JTA See & Say app may display alerts from the police regarding specific individuals of interest. These alerts could involve missing persons or children and provide information on their last known whereabouts. If a user encounters someone featured in a BOLO Alert, it is advised to immediately call 911 and discreetly submit an app report.
